Care and support at home

We bring more than 30 years' experience in the NHS and Adult Social Care, in housekeeping and support. Whatever you need, we keep it to one flat rate, 8am to 10pm, every day.

    Help with washing, dressing and the personal routines that keep the day dignified and comfortable.

  • Medication collected, requested and overseen

    Prescriptions requested and collected, and medication overseen so nothing is missed.

  • Social inclusion and companionship

    Company, conversation and a hand to get out and about. Someone to spend time with.

  • Support to GP appointments

    Getting to the surgery or the hospital and having someone alongside you.

  • Night sits and sleepovers

    Someone there overnight, so you and your family can rest. A sleepover is £140, or a waking night at the same hourly rate.

Frequently asked questions

Simple answers about cost, who comes to your home and what we cover. If your question is not here, just call or message us. We answer the phone ourselves.

How much does it cost?
£22 minimum per visit, which covers up to one hour — even if we are done sooner. A welfare check or a medication visit might only take twenty minutes, and it is still £22. After the first hour we charge in 15-minute steps. It is one flat rate from 8am to 10pm, every day of the year.
Do you charge more in the evenings or at weekends?
No. The same flat rate applies from 8am to 10pm every day, including weekends and bank holidays.
Can I use a council direct payment or personal budget?
Yes, at the same rate. You hold the budget and pay us directly. We do not take payments from the council.
Who will come to my home?
We take your call and come out to meet you first. Then it goes to the team: nine of us, all self-employed, insured, DBS checked and experienced, working together and led by Terri. One of us is a gent — some people prefer a man to help, and now we can say yes.
Which areas do you cover?
Bude and the villages around it: Stratton, Flexbury, Poughill, Marhamchurch, Widemouth Bay and Kilkhampton.
Do you do overnight stays or respite?
Yes. Night sits and sleepovers, and respite from one hour to a week or more so a family carer can take a break. A sleepover is £140, or a waking night at the same hourly rate.
Can I just have the housework done?
Yes. Janey does the Clean: light housework, shopping, laundry and meals, an hour here, two there. You don't need care visits to book the housework.
